This past weekend, coach Tommy Tuberville caught just about everyone in Lubbock, and across the college football landscape off guard when he left Texas Tech to take the opening at Cincinnati.
In addition, there was another group caught off guard, the 2013 verbal commitments to the program. One of those was Dallas (TX) Skyline cornerback Will Barrow.
"As for recruiting, nothing is really going on. I am just keeping my options open," Barrow said. "Me and my parents talked and we decided to open things up after all of the things that happened at (TX) Tech."
Now, the 5-foot-9, 175-pound Barrow will get back to the drawing board and revisit the schools that were recruiting him prior to his commitment. Right now, Barrow said that list includes Tulsa, Houston and Washington State.
"The only coaches I have talked to is Tulsa. I haven't talked to the others, but will look to visit them," Barrow said. "We just got done for the season and are taking things slow."
Barrow recorded four interceptions this season.
