Blinn - Recruiting Update
S Tevin Broussard - Broussard was solid for Blinn in the secondary and recently committed to Texas-San Antonio over offers from Texas Tech and Kansas State and heavy interest from Houston. He is a good student and was a full-qualifier out of high school.
Stats: 50 tackles and 4 interceptions
OL Tyler Edwards - Edwards has offers from Baylor, Houston, Kansas State, Louisiana Tech, Texas Tech, UTEP, Arkansas and West Virginia.
OL Arthur Fatu - Fatu is a big, physical blocker and has seen interest pick up from the likes of Sam Houston State, Nicholls State and Houston Baptist.
DL Ronald Fuller - Because of his size and skillset, Fuller could play almost anywhere along the defensive line. His versatility has piqued the interest of Eastern Kentucky so far and more could be getting into the mix soon.
Stats: 32 tackles and 6 sacks
WR Vasquez Haynes - Haynes has a big body and soft hands. He has been hearing from Middle Tennessee and, like several other players, he could see recruiting pick up over the next few weeks.
Stats: 55 receptions for 790 yards and 8 touchdowns
LB Earl Hines - Hines showed his team-first attitude by moving to defensive end this season due to the needs of the team, but he is better suited to play linebacker. He is currently hearing from Baylor.
Stats: 38 tackles and 5 sacks
OL Chance McCormack - McCormack has an offer from Lamar and should see recruiting pick up over the next couple of weeks.
S Ken Butler - The freshman had a solid season and has offers from Middle Tennessee, Old Dominion, Lamar, Sam Houston State and Southeast Louisiana.
Stats: 30 tackles and 2 interceptions
OL Pedro Ornelas - Ornelas has an offer from Houston Baptist.
LB Mitchell Villemez - The Blinn coaches consider Villemez to be a major sleeper and said the sophomore was the best player they had on defense this season. He has the size to play linebacker and the speed to play safety, depending on the system. He has offers from Texas State & Lamar and is getting heavy interest from the likes of Houston, New Mexico, Fresno State and Marshall.
Stats: 56 tackles, 3 interceptions and 2 sacks
WR Kurt Walker - Walker has a knack for getting open and has offers from Texas Tech and Marshall.
Stats: Unable to locate
S Demetrius Woodard - Woodard is a solid looking safety prospect and has offers from Marshall, Texas State and New Mexico and interest from Houston.
