Jones Enjoyed Texas Tech Visit

Richmond Bush three-star offensive lineman Josh Jones listed Texas Tech and Oklahoma State as two standouts earlier this month. He visited each school recently and RaiderPower.com caught up with him to see how his trip to Lubbock went.

Richmond Bush offensive tackle Josh Jones confirmed he recently took a visit to the Texas Tech campus.

"The campus, it was just so beautiful. It was nice out there. Just the way all the landscaping and all the buildings they have was real nice."

Jones stated his love for all the Red Raider coaches as well, citing how nice they treated him. He is mainly being recruited by Texas Tech running backs coach Mike Jinks.

"I've just got a good feeling about him," Jones said. "I know he'll end up leading me down the right path if I end up going there."

One of the sites this 6-foot-5, 280 pound behemoth spent some time at was Jones AT&T Stadium.

"I like it. They're actually building a new part of it on, I think on the west wing, towards the athletic facility."

Jones recently took part in a satellite camp and felt it was a success, particularly after getting to know the coaches better.

The three-star prospect does not have a top list yet, but believes he will by late July or early August.

This upcoming season, Jones wants to improve on a certain aspect of his game.

"I just really want to become more dominant when it comes to just run blocking."

While Jones has no intention to commit anytime soon, the Red Raiders certainly have one thing going their way: his parents.

"They liked it. They really liked it. They just told me if I choose to go there, my mom would be okay with me going there."
