The 15th in a series of interviews on members of the Longhorn Class of '04: Walk-on Luke Tiemann…
Tiemann Very Impressed With Tech Visit
"I was going up there in January for their banquet," Luke Tiemann said, "But the Texas Tech coaches wanted me to come up this weekend. And I could also go back up there for their banquet on an unofficial and stay with friends." The Texas Hot 100 selection said he was very impressed with setup at Texas Tech. "I've never been there before," he said. "That was the first time. And, I didn't expect a whole lot. But after making the trip, seeing the press box, the facilities and everything, it was very impressive. I'm very high on Texas Tech." Asked who was tasked with the responsibility of bringing him to Lubbock, the 6-2, 210-pound linebacker said, "Coach Sadler. He's been recruiting me very hard. And while I was there, I got to sit in on some of the game planning for their game against Navy. "And Coach Sadler knows his stuff. I could tell that he has a lot of knowledge of the game. You could see that as he was pointing out the different tendencies of Navy." Having already officially visited Wisconsin, kid's now taken two of his five officials. Plans going forward? "I don't know yet. I think I might take another official visit or two..." With Houston being one of the first teams on the state's No. 61 ( who registered 126 tackles, 4 sacks, 1 INT and 4 PBUs) most expect "T-Man" to give Art Briles and Co. an official visit too. I think I'm going to set something up with Houston. And they definitely have a shot. They've been recruiting me for a long time. Right now, everybody has a shot.
