Well, the 6-3, 275-pound stud has made a couple of changes. And the Red Raiders are no longer in the mix.
"I'm down two," Rogers said. "UH and TCU."
Rogers, deciding to part ways with Texas Tech, had great things to say about the two programs (UH and TCU) ranked neck-and-neck.
"I really like what they're doing there and how they're rebuilding the program," he said about the Coogs.
Asked about Gary Patterson and Co., Rogers simply said, "They have a great ball club."
Short and sweet, and to the point, is how I would describe the lineman from Jasper. But without question, Rogers' interest in both appears to be very sincere.
That said, he does list Baylor, but with only low interest. However, they will grab an official visit.
"I'm taking official visits to TCU (1/9), Baylor (1/16) and UH(1/23)," said the Texas Hot 100 candidate.
Rogers said he'd like to take all of his trips before making a decision and made sure to tell me he was looking forward to hitting the weight room as he's looking to make an early impact on the collegiate level.
The Lone Star State prep would be a huge addition to either Houston or TCU. They're both in real good shape with 2/3-star prospect and it'll be interesting to see who comes out on top.
We're hearing the Coogs, if only slightly, but don't count out the Horned Frogs.
