Adam James Decides

Posted Jan 23, 2006

The recruitment of Celina HS tight end Adam James heated up tremendously in the last several weeks, and the 6’3 222 pound prospect made his decison today.

“I committed to Tech this morning,” said Adam James. “I spoke with Coach Mainord and let him know of my decision to be a Red Raider.”

Adam will come to Tech as a grey shirt which means he will not be on scholarship his first semester here. He will practice with the team just like every other commit, but it allows Tech to bring him in but not have him count against this year's scholarship limit.

This is the second commit has broken in the last 24 hours, as Broderick Marshall committed to the Red Raiders yesterday evening. Mike Leach and company are finishing this recruiting class off strong with these two big additions as well as holding onto Taylor Potts and Baron Batch, who have both solidified their commitment to Texas Tech.
