The Red Raider are coming off a very emotional game against Texas A&M, where
they pulled out a 31-27 victory in the last minute of the game. It would
be easy for Texas Tech to take things easy this past week and not fully prepare
for the Missouri Tigers. This is simply not the case though.
After the big win in College Station, Coach Leach made sure that the players
knew there were a lot of things to work on if they want to reach their goal of
winning the Big 12. Keeping the team grounded was a big hurdle the
coaching staff had to achieve and all signs are pointing to them being
successful.
Missouri has started off the season 5-0 and will come to Lubbock riding a wave
of success that they have achieve in their first 5 games. But, playing
inside Jones AT&T Stadium isn't the easiest place to keep a streak a live.
The Red Raiders will prove to be too much for the Tigers to handle, and will run
away with this game before the 4th quarter.

Texas Tech will face
its second undefeated team in as many weeks this Saturday at Jones AT&T
Stadium. Missouri comes in riding the hot hand of their quarterback Chase Daniel. The sophomore has led Missouri to one of its best starts in recent
history.
The Tech defense will have a challenge stopping the balanced spread attack of
Missouri. A lot will hinge on whether or not we can tackle well. If Texas Tech
can tackle, I believe all will be good in Raiderland.
The Red Raiders will face the 2nd ranked defense this weekend. Are
those numbers inflated due to Missouri schedule, or are they legit? I believe
we will expose flaws in the young secondary of Missouri and roll up some big
numbers offensively.

PsychoAg - The Weakly Retort
This week is a matchup between an untested Missouri team and
the emotionally-high Red Raiders. Given that this one is going to be played in
Lubbock at night, where Tech is extremely dangerous, I think Tech is going to
win big. Chase Daniel looks pretty good this year, but I think the environment
and the first real shot in the mouth is going to force him into a couple of
turnovers at costly points in the game.
Tech shows that the TCU game was an anomaly, and that the offense (with Hicks)
that torched the Aggies in the first half is back to being a well-oiled
machine. Missouri will still score a few, but will be unable to keep up with
the Tech track meet. Even with the new rules, Tech still scores most times in
under 2 minutes. Unless Missouri can get some stops, this one gets away from
them in a hurry.

Chase Daniel and the Missouri Tigers test
our defense all afternoon with their versatile offense, while our Air
Raid offense punishes their defense. It turns into a bit of a shootout, but the
home crowd is the difference in the end.
Harrell leads a game-sealing drive late in the fourth quarter to cap off the
victory, but Missouri keeps the game closer than Red Raider fans would prefer.
