Player of the Game

This week's player of the game goes to senior receiver Joel Filani, who led the Air Raid receiving corps with 212 yards receiving and 3 touchdowns. Filani's 3 td effort was his 2nd of the season and included a 76 yard reception where he broke a tackle to scamper into the end zone.

Joel Filani, who has been solid all year, was stellar in his performance against Baylor, hauling in 8 receptions and rushing once for a total of 226 yards of total offense. Filani single-handedly out-gained Baylor's entire offense, which had only 217 yards of total offense in the game.

Filani also did an outstanding job of getting yards after the catch by shucking defenders and powering through tackles, something that Coach Leach stresses is integral to the success of the Raider's high-octane offense.

Congratulations to Joel Filani, a team captain for the 2006 season and the Red Raider's leading receiver, for an outstanding game against the Baylor Bears. Recommended Stories
