Texas Tech Beats Texas 42-38

Kingsbury was impressive in his final home game.

The Texas Tech Red Raiders (8-4, 5-2) kept their Big 12 championship hopes alive by beating the Texas Longhorns (9-2, 5-2) by a score of 42-38. Senior quarterback Kliff Kingsbury was unstoppable as he picked apart the Longhorn defense for 473 yards and 6 touchdowns.

The Longhorns scored first following a Kliff Kingsbury fumble. Texas drove 24 yards for the touchdown. The drive was capped by a 2-yard touchdown run by Cedric Benson to make the score 7-0. The Longhorns scored once again in the first quarter on a 90-yard drive. A 17-yard touchdown pass to Roy Williams finished off the drive, bringing the score to 14-0.
