IRVING, Texas — Mack Brown has plenty of respect for
Texas Tech head coach Tommy Tuberville.
Colorado head coach Dan Hawkins appears to not be worried
that many believe he is on the hottest seat in college football right now.
“At least I have a seat,” he joked.
Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops said he would be happy to
play Nebraska in a few years as a non-conference opponent but the Sooners need
to find a way to fit them in the non-conference schedule — which is
booked for the next few years.
And Turner Gill could not be any happier to be in this
conference. Even though it’s at Kansas and not his alma mater — Nebraska.
“That wasn’t the right fit,” he said. “This is the right fit
at the right time.”
Texas Tech welcomed home Tommy Tuberville
after the head coach got to throw out the first pitch at last night’s epic
Rangers game. Luckily the starter Cliff Lee, fared better after Tuberville’s first pitch, striking out a
career-high 13 batters with Tuberville
watching in amazement.
Tubs didn’t exactly strike out, he’s got a new commitment
and is slowly beginning to build a top 20 class for
2011. All this and more video coming later tonight.
