Last Updated: July 3rd, 2007
| This is a position where the Red Raiders could really use a few big time commitments. A few unplanned departures has left the position relatively thin heading into the 2007 season. The interior defensive line did receive a blessing with Bobby Agoucha qualifying out of the 2007 class, but Tech could use 2-3 solid prospects in the class of 2008. If Broderick Marshall can qualify, Tech already has one very solid prospect on board. | ||||||

| Texas Tech brought in 4 defensive ends in the class of 2007: Daniel Howard (JuCo), Brandon Sharpe (JuCo), Tyrone Sonier, and David Neill. With 2 of the incoming ends being former junior college players, Tech will need to replace them shortly. The Red Raiders already have 2 on board with Joel Fowler and Ryan Haliburton, both of which are rock solid commitments. Look for the staff to try and take maybe 1-2 more in the class of 2008. | ||||||

The Red Raiders have a solid core of young linebackers in Blake Collier, Marlon Williams, and Julius Howard, but Tech will try to bring in 2 more linebackers in the class of 2008. | ||||||
