| As a junior, he had 95 tackles and five fumble recoveries on defense. Barnes was named first team all-state on offense and first team all-conference on defense.
Barnes: "I have good size and nice, quick feet. I am strong and physical. I feel that I am a smart player. I love going out there and having fun."
Coach's Comments: "I know Missouri was real impressed with his footwork," said head coach Caleb Crooker. "He gets off the ball very well, and he is quick. The most surprising thing with Tim is his ability to move for a big man as he plays basketball on a run n' gun team, and really gets up and down the court. On the football, he just doesn't miss any assignments."
