| A solid pass catcher who comes away with the tough grab then picks up yardage running after the reception, Hicks is a solid late-round choice for a West Coast offense. |
| Biography: |
Three-year starter and previous All-Conference selection who
totaled 25/334/2 as a senior. Missed seven games last year while the
NCAA ruled on his eligibility. Posted career-best numbers of
76/1,177/13 as a sophomore.
Pos:
Good-sized, consistent wide out with reliable hands. Sells routes,
uses his frame to protect the pass and extends to pull the ball from
the air. Gets vertical for the difficult reception, exposing himself
to the big hit, and makes a lot of acrobatic grabs. Comes back to the
ball, displays a sense of timing and keeps the play in bounds running
after the reception. Sells routes and plays a physical game.
Neg:
Mostly a one-speed receiver who lacks the second gear. Not a sharp
route runner. |
